Habitat for Humanity

This past summer our entire church (The People's Church) went through Rick Warren's "40 Days of Community" series and we were deeply moved to go out and have a very tangible impact on the greater community that we live in. After tossing around several ideas of what to do, we decided we wanted to build a house for Habitat for Humanity. So we spent every weekend for the entire part of September, and the beginning of October, building this house for a wonderful woman named Betty Petway. This was a wonderful project, and it blessed us immensely just to be a part of it. Today, during our worship service, our church had a "Celebration Sunday" to share stories of how god has been working in the lives of our church community (To see the entire service, go to www.pclive.org). As a part of this celebration, they asked to feature our story.

You can view a video clip of that portion of the service above.
